A Few of My Favorite Things

Foldable Travel Potty Seat

This potty seat never leaves my kids’ diaper bag, so it goes with us everywhere since my oldest child started potty training to help her comfortably use the larger toilets in public restrooms.  It is very travel friendly as it is easy to wipe clean and comes with a bag to store the seat.

Baby Equipment Rentals

One of the biggest challenges of traveling with small children is the large number of things needed for sleeping, eating, and playing such as car seat, crib, pack and play, stroller, highchair, etc.  While parents can improvise when traveling, sometimes it’s nice to have the comforts of home even away from home.  I rented a crib for my son who has a hard time sleeping through the night.  To maintain his sleep schedule while visiting family, we requested the crib to be delivered to our destination address the day we arrived and picked up by the rental service the day after our departure.  It was very convenient and definitely worth the money for our family trip.  There are multiple rental companies to choose from so you should be able to find the equipment you need available at your location.

Clorox Travel Wipes

If you’re a bit of a germaphobe, like me, you would agree that Clorox wipes are a must have while traveling this holiday season.  Even if you’re not a germaphobe, Clorox wipes can be used to disinfect toys, strollers, and eating surfaces to avoid spoiling your family plans with a case of RSV, COVID, or the flu.

LCD Writing Tablet for Kids

This item is the latest addition to my favorite travel things even though I haven’t taken them on a trip yet since they’re a Christmas present for my kids, but I know they’ll love them.  They’re very thin and lightweight and easily fit in a carry-on bag or checked luggage.  They will be a welcome replacement for papers and markers and crayons in our luggage on our next family trip in January.

Mamava Lactation Pods

I know firsthand how difficult it is to find a quiet spot in an airplane or in the airport terminal for the family and all the luggage to breastfeed the baby or pump milk while in transit.  I also know firsthand how great Mamava breastfeeding pods can be for breastfeeding and pumping.  The lactation pods are conveniently located in airports, convention centers, stadiums, and other public areas around the country.  They are clean, quiet, comfortable, private places that are a comfortable size to handle your luggage and breastfeeding and pumping equipment.  Equipped with a mirror, lights, sitting space, and outlets for breast pumps or charging your phone, tablet, or laptop while feeding before, after, or between flights.  Find the nearest Mamava lactation pod here: https://www.mamava.com/find-mamava or using the Mamava app.

Sterilizer Bags & Breast Pump Wipes

Speaking of breast pumps, I highly recommend microwaveable sterilizer bags for sterilizing breast pump parts and bottles while traveling.  If you don’t have access to a microwave, there are convenient breast pump wipes I’ve used while flying.

Have a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season celebrating with family at home or abroad!
